Driven by innovation and continued market expansion, the company is developing new products and applications to support evolving customer needs. To support this growth, they are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to improve operational efficiency, optimize production processes, and help drive successful product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description

  • Lead the transition of new products from development to high-volume manufacturing, ensuring efficient production launch, process readiness, and smooth cross-functional handoffs.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement advanced manufacturing equipment and technologies to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Engineer and refine custom tooling, fixtures, and assembly aids that enhance throughput, improve ergonomics, and promote a safe working environment.
  • Champion continuous improvement and sustaining engineering efforts by leveraging Lean manufacturing methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Address production and product quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and the application of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, technicians, and production associates, supporting skill development and a culture of operational excellence.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams through key manufacturing milestones, converting product and process requirements into standardized work instructions, SOPs, and efficient manufacturing routings.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong mechanical aptitude within metal manufacturing processes
  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineer, within a similar industrial or metal manufacturing role
  • Engineering Degree Required
  • Experience building fixtures and designing tooling
  • Knowledge of quality control tools, GD&T, etc
  • AutoCAD and AutoDesk Inventor Experience
  • Ability to elad engineering projects, willingness to be hands-on out on the floor
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting programmed and manual machinery
  • Understanding of CNC Machinery, programming a plus
  • Lean/CI Experience - certifications are a plus
