Job Description

  • Testing and developing new equipment
  • Improving/refining existing equipment
  • Using Project Management to incorporate design and budgets for projects
  • Maintaining a physical and direct functional and supportive role with multiple facility Maintenance and Manufacturing groups
  • Assisting plant maintenance with advanced troubleshooting
  • Providing floor support to troubleshoot process problems using continuous improvement and root cause analysis techniques
  • Ensuring that products and systems comply with applicable codes
  • Reporting routine activities on a monthly basis, keeping relevant staff members up-to-date more frequently on rapidly moving projects
  • Initiating or supplying documentation for capital projects using TPM tools used within the EEM pillar and the six-step management methodology
  • Supporting all new equipment and processes with in-house training classes, as determined by the department's and the company's needs

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
  • 7+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Chemical processing experience
  • Strong proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks/Fusion360 preferred), mechanical simulation tools, and P&ID development.
  • Hands-on experience with pumps, piping systems, mixing/blending equipment, and automated machinery.
  • Knowledge of custom print design review and implementation
  • Demonstrated project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional engineering initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
