They sell, support, and service high‑precision CNC lathes (turning machines) that manufacturers use to produce small, complex metal parts.Job DescriptionDevelop and support the design of automated equipment and machine accessories.Lead mechanical design activities from initial concept through final implementation.Translate customer requirements into innovative and practical design solutions.Ensure designs meet performance, quality, and functional specifications.Design mechanical components, assemblies, and motion systems.Produce detailed engineering drawings and documentation for manufacturing.Select and specify standard components such as actuators (pneumatic/electric), valves, sensors, motors, and gear systems.Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within an ERP system.Define sequences of operation to support controls development.Coordinate with suppliers and fabricators for sourcing and manufacturability.Participate in or oversee prototype assembly and testing, making refinements as needed.Develop technical documentation, including operating and maintenance manuals.Support equipment installation and commissioning at customer sites, both remotely and onsite.Review and provide feedback on designs created by peers.Provide ongoing technical support to customers after system deployment.Travel to customer locations as required (approximately 5%).MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
