Job Description

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will:

  • Incorporate customer feedback into product improvements in collaboration with Quality and Customer Service teams
  • Manage project timelines and provide detailed updates on schedules, lead times, and project costs
  • Conduct design reviews
  • Partner with Procurement to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability
  • Enhance the functionality of existing products and accessories
  • Develop and present capital expenditure proposals
  • Assist in the creation of technical documentation, including owner's manuals and product materials
  • Provide support across Manufacturing Engineering and tool design as needed

The Successful Applicant

The successful Senior Mechanical Engineer will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience in firearms product design
  • Strong knowledge of material selection and material science principles
  • Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS, CAD/CAM, PDM software, and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with GD&T and lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience with documentation such as control plans and engineering change orders (ECOs), and adherence to drafting standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
