Known for its collaborative environment and multidisciplinary expertise, it offers long‑term growth, flexibility, and meaningful project impact.Job DescriptionHigh‑Voltage Substation Physical DesignCreate or modify single‑line diagrams and general arrangementsProduce detailed elevations, sections, assembly details, and installation drawingsDevelop bills of materials, bid units, and material countsTechnical & Project ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with other engineering disciplinesConduct site visits for data gathering and as‑built verificationWrite procurement and construction specifications; evaluate contractor bidsSupport factory acceptance testing and review shop drawings for conformanceVerify client equipment and designs meet industry standards and best practicesPerform calculations: conductor and equipment sizing, rigid bus strength, insulation coordination, grounding, lightning protectionGenerate engineering fee estimatesProvide field support during construction and commissioningMentor junior engineers and design staffOccasional overnight travel for client meetings or site visitsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
