Job Description

The Sr. Project Manager - Federal Projects - Gaithersburg, MD will be responsible for:

  • Lead all aspects of project execution for federal and commercial construction projects.
  • Manage project teams, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, and contract administration.
  • Coordinate with field operations and project stakeholders to maintain quality, safety, and compliance objectives.
  • Develop and implement project plans that support client expectations and organizational goals.
  • Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to maintain timelines and profitability.
  • Prepare and present project updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all projects are completed in accordance with federal regulations, security requirements, and contract specifications.
  • Mentor and develop project management staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Support business growth initiatives through client engagement and project pursuit activities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Sr. Project Manager - Federal Projects - Gaithersburg, MD should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience within federal government construction.
  • Previous experience working for a commercial general contractor.
  • Proven track record managing complex federal or government-funded projects.
  • Experience operating in secure or mission-critical facilities strongly preferred.
  • Pentagon project experience or current eligibility to work within the Pentagon is highly desirable.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass federal background investigations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, financial management, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
