Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide leadership for multiple commercial construction projects while ensuring exceptional client service, financial performance, quality, and schedule management.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple commercial interior construction projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and project leads.
  • Collaborate with estimating and marketing teams on budgets, proposals, qualifications, and bid packages.
  • Ensure contracts and subcontracts are executed efficiently and resolve contractual issues.
  • Manage project staffing, workload planning, and team alignment.
  • Establish project objectives, milestones, and execution strategies.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, quality standards, and profitability.
  • Lead internal project meetings and provide oversight to project teams.
  • Review financial reports and project performance metrics.
  • Assist with resolving complex RFIs and time-sensitive project challenges.
  • Negotiate and execute change orders when required.
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and trade partners.
  • Oversee project closeout activities and ensure successful completion.
  • Mentor, train, and develop Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development initiatives.
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing efforts as needed.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 10-12+ years of commercial construction project management experience with a General Contractor.
  • Proven experience managing commercial interior construction projects.
  • Strong financial, budgeting, and project controls experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring project teams.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong client relationship management and business development skills.
  • Skilled negotiator with experience managing contracts and change orders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a commitment to team development and project success.
