Job Description

The Senior R&D Power Electronics Design Engineer will report directly into the Electrical Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

  • Design and develop advanced DC/DC converter products utilizing proprietary technologies.
  • Lead product development efforts from concept through manufacturing release.
  • Perform power converter, analog, and magnetics design activities.
  • Conduct simulation, analysis, testing, component selection, and PCB layout reviews.
  • Develop product functional specifications and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interface directly with customers when required.
  • Drive innovation in power conversion topologies, control architectures, and packaging technologies.

The Successful Applicant

  • BSEE required; MSEE preferred.
  • 7+ years of power electronics design experience.
  • Expertise in AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters, VRMs, or bus converters.
  • Strong knowledge of high-frequency switching power supply topologies and control architectures.
  • Experience with:
    • Magnetics design
    • Power circuit design and analysis
    • Circuit simulation
    • Feedback control theory
    • EMC compliance
    • PCB layout considerations
    • Logic and interface circuit design
  • Strong analytical and mathematical problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
