Job Description

In this role you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

  • Providing technical leadership for sustaining engineering activities supporting gas combustion heating system product lines.
  • Investigating and resolving complex product, manufacturing, and field issues to ensure long-term reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives for existing products, including performance optimization, cost reduction, and design robustness.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams-including design, manufacturing, quality, and service-to evaluate, develop, and implement engineering changes.
  • Ensuring ongoing adherence to applicable heating industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Leading root cause analysis efforts and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions for production and field-related issues.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and actively contributing to technical knowledge sharing and best practices within the engineering team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven sustaining engineering track record for complex electromechanical products
  • Exposure to gas combustion, heat pumps, or refrigeration systems is a plus
  • ANSI, CSA, UL standards familiarity
  • PLC programming skills a plus
  • Manufacturing Safety familiarity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
