Due to an internal promotion, they are looking to add a Staff Accountant to their accounting team.This role will serve as an integral member of the team, with key responsibilities including inventory accounting, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, compiling financial packages, and supporting various ad hoc analyses. The Staff Accountant will leverage broad accounting expertise to support multiple lines of business and contribute across a diverse range of accounting functions.Job DescriptionSupport the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by completing assigned general ledger activities in an accurate and timely mannerMaintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records through proper recording, validation, consolidation, and posting of transactionsAnalyze financial statements and prepare supporting schedules and variance analysesPrepare and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts on a recurring basisAssist with monthly inventory reconciliations and inventory-related reportingContribute to the preparation of internal and external financial reporting packagesEvaluate financial and operational trends and partner with business leaders to communicate performance insightsComplete special projects, reporting requests, and ad hoc analyses as neededMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
