Job Description

  • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives to improve manufacturing quality processes with direct impact on key operational quality KPIs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for advanced manufacturing quality practices and methodologies.
  • Investigate and resolve complex quality issues using structured root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
  • Implement sustainable process improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead customer escape containment and resolution efforts.
  • Partner with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to implement robust corrective and preventive actions that improve customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, analyze, and reduce COPQ.
  • Coordinate production stop‑ship or stop‑build actions as needed and drive corrective solutions.
  • Review engineering prints, specifications, and acceptance criteria to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Manage deviation, nonconformance, and disposition processes in alignment with quality standards and QMS requirements.
  • Deploy advanced quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, statistical analysis, process capability).
  • Support operations leadership in understanding and adopting new quality practices.
  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional quality improvement projects spanning multiple departments or sites.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and outcomes.
  • Analyze quality metrics, internal and external feedback, and process data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Enable data-driven decision-making through clear communication of insights.
  • Coach and mentor other quality engineers.
  • Foster a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement within the quality organization.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging quality technologies.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing quality engineering within an industrial, electrical, or related manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Advanced knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and drawing interpretation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strong background in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with root cause analysis, corrective action systems, and process analytics.
  • Experience supporting nonconforming material, MRB/NMR, and RMA processes across functions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI preferred.
  • ASQ Certification highly desirable.
