With continued investment in grid modernization, reliability improvements, and utility capital programs, the company offers opportunities to work on technically complex projects while collaborating with experienced engineering professionals in a growth-focused environment.Job DescriptionLead engineering execution for substation projects, managing technical scope from project initiation through final design and delivery.Act as the primary technical resource for project teams and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients throughout project lifecycles.Direct development of substation physical layouts, protection & control packages, and associated engineering documentation.Produce, review, and approve engineering calculations, design packages, equipment specifications, and construction deliverables.Ensure designs align with applicable industry requirements and standards including NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and NEMA guidelines.Identify technical challenges, constructability concerns, and project risks while driving solutions and maintaining schedule commitments.Perform and oversee engineering studies such as grounding analysis, short circuit evaluations, equipment sizing, and related system assessments.Lead quality assurance and design review activities to maintain engineering accuracy and project compliance.Support and mentor junior engineers and designers through technical guidance, training, and project oversight.Maintain proactive communication with project leadership and clients regarding schedule, technical status, and project priorities.Build strong client relationships through responsive support and consistent project execution.Maintain organized engineering records and project documentation.Participate in occasional travel for site visits, project meetings, and client engagement.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
