This contract-to-hire opportunity offers strong long-term career potential and exposure to complex, high-impact projects.Job DescriptionLead physical substation design efforts for projects ranging from 69kV through 500kV+Develop complete physical design packages including general arrangement drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and equipment layoutsProduce grounding plans, conduit layouts, cable trench designs, and station layoutsCoordinate equipment placement and electrical clearances to meet utility and client standardsSupport design development from conceptual engineering through construction supportPartner with Protection & Control, Civil, Structural, Transmission Line, and Project Management teamsReview vendor drawings and integrate manufacturer requirements into final deliverablesPerform QA/QC reviews to ensure design accuracy and complianceSupport field activities including RFIs, drawing revisions, and issue resolution during constructionMentor junior designers and support technical development across project teamsMaintain schedules and communicate design status across multiple active projectsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
