A growing, well-established general contractor is seeking a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent to support expanding project demand across Maine. This individual will oversee field operations on commercial, higher education, and multifamily construction projects, reporting directly to the Director of Construction.

Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities from preconstruction through closeout
  • Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics to ensure project success
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and internal teams
  • Utilize Procore and MS Office for project tracking, reporting, and documentation
  • Lead jobsite meetings and provide regular progress updates

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent - Commercial Construction should have:

  • 7-10 years of construction experience (open to Assistant Superintendent level)
  • Project background in commercial, higher education, retail, or multifamily construction
  • Experience with CM and/or Design-Build delivery methods preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel to and work on projects across Maine
  • Must be commutable to the greater Augusta, ME area
