Job Description

The Superintendent - Commercial Interiors - Richmond VA will:

  • Oversee day‑to‑day field operations on 2-3 concurrent commercial projects
  • Manage interior renovation projects ranging from $500K-$5M with durations of 3-9 months
  • Coordinate subcontractors, foremen, laborers, and carpenters to maintain productivity and quality
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites - stepping in hands‑on when needed
  • Communicate proactively with project management and clients, including email updates and delay notifications
  • Track schedules, site logistics, and material deliveries to avoid disruptions
  • Support occupied renovations requiring phasing, coordination, and client sensitivity
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with project requirements

The Successful Applicant

The Superintendent - Commercial Interiors - Richmond VA will have:

  • 2-5+ years experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
  • Proven background in commercial interior renovations ($1M-$5M range)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in occupied and fast‑paced environments
  • Strong communication skills and basic computer/email proficiency
  • Willingness to be hands‑on - from site protection to cleanup when needed
  • Experience with small base building or light ground‑up work is a plus
