Job Description

As Superintendent - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all day-to-day construction activities on luxury residential projects
  • Overseeing full-gut renovations, penthouse fit-outs, and townhouse restorations
  • Coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and specialty trades
  • Maintaining project schedules and ensuring milestone completion
  • Managing custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, metal, and finish installations
  • Conducting quality control inspections throughout construction
  • Leading site safety meetings and enforcing OSHA standards
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and finish schedules
  • Coordinating deliveries and site logistics in occupied buildings
  • Working directly with architects, designers, and homeowners
  • Identifying and resolving field issues proactively
  • Maintaining daily reports and project documentation
  • Supporting punch-list completion and project closeout

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience
  • Extensive luxury residential renovation experience
  • Proven background managing penthouses, townhouses, brownstones, or custom residences
  • Strong knowledge of high-end interior construction and finishes
  • Experience coordinating millwork, cabinetry, stone, lighting, and specialty trades
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and design drawings
  • Experience working in occupied luxury residential buildings
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
