As a Commercial Construction Superintendent in Nashville, you will oversee day-to-day field activities for commercial construction including healthcare, mid-rise, municipal, education, and retail projects across the city. This is an immediate role and the GC will interview ASAP.

Job Description

  • Oversee daily on-site construction activities and coordinate work across project phases.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to guide field execution.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and site vendors to maintain project progress.
  • Monitor work quality and address field issues as they arise.
  • Track site progress against project schedules and communicate updates to project stakeholders.
  • Maintain an orderly job site and coordinate daily site logistics.
  • Conduct regular site walks to confirm work aligns with plans and project requirements.
  • Document field activity, project progress, and items requiring follow-up.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Superintendent should have:

  • Experience overseeing commercial construction work on active job sites.
  • Experience in new construction ground up education, interiors, municipal, healthcare, mixed-use.
  • Experience reading construction plans, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and daily field activities.
  • Ability to identify site issues and coordinate practical next steps.
  • Experience monitoring workmanship and tracking project progress.
  • Clear communication skills for sharing site updates with project stakeholders.
