Job Description

The Superintendent will:

  • Lead all day-to-day field operations on a major military aviation construction project.
  • Oversee company employees, subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners to ensure safe and efficient execution.
  • Manage project schedules and proactively forecast upcoming activities to maintain milestones.
  • Coordinate construction activities across multiple trades and project phases.
  • Enforce site safety standards and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and project requirements.
  • Monitor quality control efforts to ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with owners, owner representatives, tenants, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve field challenges through proactive problem-solving and leadership.
  • Coordinate utility, infrastructure, building, and site work activities to support overall project objectives.
  • Maintain accurate field documentation and ensure project progress aligns with contractual commitments.
  • Support a positive team environment while mentoring and developing field personnel.
  • Learn and apply new technical and operational information quickly to support project success.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
  • Current OSHA 10 certification.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to start date.
  • Current First Aid certification or ability to obtain prior to start date.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple construction trades and field operations.
  • Ability to forecast, plan, and execute work within project schedules.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and field personnel effectively.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical and non-technical information.
