Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsLead Multifamily & Commercial projects under $10MSmaller team, a lot of upward mobility opportunities, access to leadershipAbout Our ClientSmall General Contractor, based in Canton MA, is looking for a Superintendent to join their team!Diverse pipeline of ground-up and interior projects - primarily across multifamily & commercial sectors in the greater Boston area.Accelerated promotional opportunity for everyone in the business, tight knit / family-owned feel.Opportunity to lead smaller jobs up to $10M & have a real impact on a growing business!Job DescriptionMaintaining project schedule and monitoring the work of Trade Contractors, provide three-week window schedules to Project Management.Planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, coordination of the work, and the activities of the Owner).Supervising total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.Interfacing with client representatives, Architect and engineering representatives, other contractors, etc.Scheduling and conducting coordination meetings with Trade Contractors to jointly discuss procedures, process, problems, and scheduling.Determining adequacy of Trade Contractor's personnel and equipment and the availability of supplies to meet the schedule.Inspecting the work of Trade Contractors for defects and omissions.Recording the progress of the project via daily job reports.Coordinating receipt and storage of construction materials onsite, provide initial Quality Control inspections.Monitoring job safety and security policies, ensuring all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc.Conducting and documenting daily inspections.Documenting all violations, notifying project management, and recommending/implementing corrective actions as required.Reviewing and commenting on shop drawings, maintaining as built records.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
