Job Description

The Lead Superintendent - Ground Up Construction will:

  • Lead all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Manage field teams, subcontractors, and trade partners to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Drive project schedules and coordinate critical construction milestones.
  • Maintain high standards for safety, quality control, and site performance.
  • Oversee ground-up construction projects ranging from mid-sized developments to large-scale facilities exceeding 100,000 square feet.
  • Collaborate with project management teams, clients, architects, and consultants to resolve field issues.
  • Coordinate site logistics, manpower planning, and sequencing of work activities.
  • Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff while promoting a positive team culture.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent with a commercial General Contractor or Construction Manager.
  • Strong ground-up construction experience.
  • Experience leading large-scale commercial, industrial, manufacturing, institutional, or similar projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and complex site operations.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety, scheduling, and quality management.
  • Ability to commute to project locations throughout Greater Boston, Southern Massachusetts, the North Shore, and Rhode Island.
