They will continue to grow with a focus on clients and putting their employees first.Job DescriptionThe Superintendent will be responsible for:Provide overall on-site leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Coordinate and direct all subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain project momentum and achieve key milestones.Develop, maintain, and communicate short-term and long-term project schedules to all stakeholders.Serve as the primary field representative, acting as a liaison between project management, ownership, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and proactively implement solutions.Review and interpret architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and landscape plans, specifications, and contract documents.Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and communicate project expectations, priorities, and schedule updates.Manage site logistics, material deliveries, equipment utilization, and workforce planning to maximize operational efficiency.Coordinate all agency, municipal, and third-party inspections while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.Review shop drawings, submittals, testing reports, and inspection documentation for accuracy and completeness.Generate and track Requests for Information (RFIs), field directives, and punch list items through completion.Maintain detailed daily logs, project documentation, progress reports, and photographic records of construction activities.Monitor project quality control processes and ensure all work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and company standards.Identify, mitigate, and resolve field conflicts before they impact schedule, budget, or client satisfaction.Collaborate closely with project managers to manage project budgets, labor productivity, and cost-effective construction methods.Facilitate problem-solving discussions with design professionals, local officials, subcontractors, and clients to drive timely issue resolution.Enforce company safety policies and promote a proactive safety culture across all project activities.Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and toolbox talks to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe successful superintendent will have: 6+ years of proven experience leading large-scale commercial ground-up construction projects from site development through closeout.Demonstrated success delivering healthcare, hospital, medical office building (MOB), or other complex institutional projects valued at $15M+.Strong field leadership experience with the ability to manage multiple trades, subcontractors, and project stakeholders simultaneously.Self-perform construction experience preferred, with a solid understanding of labor productivity, sequencing, and field operations.Comprehensive knowledge of commercial construction means, methods, materials, and industry best practices.Thorough understanding of all phases of the construction lifecycle, including preconstruction planning, execution, commissioning, and turnover.Ability to read, interpret, and analyze architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings, specifications, and contract documents.Strong working knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, inspections, and quality control standards.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of a project team.Proven ability to effectively collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, trade partners, vendors, and internal management teams.Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced construction environments.Results-driven professional capable of making sound decisions and maintaining project momentum under tight deadlines.Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.Self-motivated leader who takes ownership of project success and consistently drives performance and accountability.Experience developing and maintaining project schedules while proactively identifying potential risks and delays.Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure exceptional project execution.Ability to lead and promote a positive jobsite culture centered around safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and project documentation management.Experience working with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, or similar platforms preferred.Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting critical project deadlines.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and other field staff.What's on OfferThe superintendent will be offered: Competitive base salary ranging from $110,000 -
