Job Description

As a Superintendent, you will oversee field operations and drive the successful execution of construction projects throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and Montgomery County.

  • Lead day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules while maintaining quality, budget, and safety objectives.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage base building, interior renovation, and occupied renovation projects.
  • Serve as the primary field leader and point of accountability on assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to proactively resolve challenges and maintain project momentum.
  • Oversee healthcare and other complex construction projects with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Ensure all project milestones, inspections, and closeout activities are completed successfully.
  • Take ownership of project planning and execution with limited oversight, demonstrating the independence expected of an experienced Superintendent.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7-15 years of construction experience, including experience as a Superintendent or in a field leadership role.
  • Proven ability to independently manage construction schedules and field operations.
  • Experience on projects valued up to approximately $30M.
  • Background in ground-up construction, interior fit-outs, base building projects, and occupied renovations.
  • Healthcare construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively while maintaining ownership of project execution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
  • Experience working in commercial, multifamily, healthcare, higher education, or public-sector environments is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated team player who thrives in a progressive, innovative construction culture.
