Job Description

As the Superintendent - K-12 Ground‑Up Construction, you will take full ownership of on‑site execution, reporting to a Senior Project Manager or Project Executive.

You will:

  • Lead all field operations for ground‑up K-12 construction projects from mobilization through close‑out
  • Drive schedule, safety, quality, and productivity across self‑performed and subcontracted scopes
  • Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain an exceptional jobsite safety culture
  • Manage short‑interval planning, look‑aheads, and daily reporting
  • Partner closely with project management to control costs and mitigate risk
  • Represent the company professionally with owners, architects, and inspectors

The Successful Applicant

For the Superintendent - K-12 Ground‑Up Construction, we are seeking:

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent delivering ground‑up K-12 or education projects
  • Background with projects typically ranging from $20M-$80M
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination
  • Experience working for a commercial general contractor
  • Working knowledge of construction technology (Procore or similar platforms preferred)
  • Willingness to travel regionally, with a long‑term desire to live and work within a major Southeastern metro
  • A hands‑on, accountable leadership style with excellent communication skills
