Job Description

The Superintendent - Large-Scale Community - Washington, D.C. will be responsible for:

  • Manage all day-to-day field operations on ground-up construction projects valued at $20M+.
  • Lead subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety compliance.
  • Conduct site meetings and coordinate construction activities with project stakeholders.
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and promote a culture of workplace safety.
  • Proactively identify and resolve field challenges to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with project management staff throughout the construction lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and field communications.
  • Mentor and develop field staff while fostering a collaborative jobsite environment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent - Large-Scale Community - Washington, D.C should have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience serving as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
  • Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects valued at $20M or greater.
  • Background overseeing one or more of the following project types:
    • Multifamily / Apartment Communities
    • Healthcare / Hospital Facilities
    • K-12 Schools
    • Higher Education Projects
    • Libraries
  • OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage subcontractors, schedules, and field operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Base Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 (flexibility up to $150,000 for Senior Superintendents)
