Job Description

The Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Oversee daily on-site construction activities to ensure work is completed on schedule and in compliance with project plans.
  • Develop and maintain the overall project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager.
  • Lead daily/weekly subcontractor coordination meetings to communicate goals, address issues, and ensure alignment.
  • Monitor manpower levels and adjust workforce planning as needed to maintain productivity.
  • Ensure all subcontractors and personnel adhere to company safety programs, OSHA standards, and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Verify material deliveries, manage inventory, and ensure proper storage and installation of materials.
  • Perform routine quality checks to confirm workmanship meets project specifications and industry standards.
  • Assist in coordinating equipment needs, logistics, and site access to optimize workflow.
  • Identify potential risks or delays early and collaborate with the project team to implement corrective actions.
  • Train, mentor, and support field staff and craft workers to ensure high performance and professional development.

The Successful Applicant

The Superintendent will have:

  • 3+ year's experience in large scale commercial ground-up construction
  • Previous Light Industrial, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Cold Storage project $25M+ preferred
  • Tilt wall, pre-cast, and cast-in-place concrete is a plus
  • Complete understanding of the construction process
  • Ability to create and maintain a master schedule
  • Must be proficient in reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
  • Self-motivated
  • Willing to take on multiple responsibilities and complete a variety of tasks to complete projects on time
