Our client is seeking an experienced Multifamily Superintendent to lead the field operations for a $50 million ground-up multifamily development in Bordentown, New Jersey. This role requires a hands-on construction leader with strong sitework expertise, extensive wood-frame multifamily experience, and the ability to work closely with an active owner/developer who is involved in the project on a daily basis.

Job Description

  • Site Supervision: Lead all on-site construction activities from site development through project completion.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel.
  • Schedule Management: Ensure project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved.
  • Safety Compliance: Conduct daily site walks and proactively address construction issues.
  • Documentation: Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to company leadership and ownership.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work is executed according to plans, specifications, and company quality standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up construction projects.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale wood-frame multifamily developments.
  • Experience overseeing multifamily projects with 100+ units is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working on projects developed from raw land through completion.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Polished and professional demeanor with the ability to interact directly with owners, developers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Local knowledge of New Jersey construction practices and subcontractor markets is preferred.
