Job Description

The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent in managing day-to-day field operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will play a critical role in coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress, and driving project success.

  • Assist with the daily management of on-site construction activities
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trades to maintain project schedules
  • Monitor project quality and ensure work complies with plans and specifications
  • Support site safety programs and enforce safety standards across the project
  • Track construction progress and identify potential schedule impacts
  • Participate in project inspections and punch-list completion activities
  • Collaborate closely with project management, design teams, and ownership representatives

The Successful Applicant

For the Assistant Superintendent we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of construction experience on multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, or residential projects
  • Understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling principles
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and field personnel
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive job site environment
