A significant portion of their work comes from repeat clients and occurs in highly sensitive, occupied environments. They are currently looking to hire a Superintendent with proven experience leading occupied healthcare projects.

Job Description

The Superintendent - Occupied Healthcare Projects - DC, MD, VA will be responsible for:

  • Managing day-to-day site activities and supervising subcontractors
  • Enforcing infection-control and safety protocols in live healthcare environments
  • Coordinating with hospital staff to minimize operational disruptions
  • Reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure compliance
  • Monitoring progress, quality, and adherence to schedule
  • Leading daily site meetings and maintaining accurate logs
  • Resolving field issues promptly and effectively
  • Supporting project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation

The Successful Applicant

The Superintendent - Occupied Healthcare Projects - DC, MD, VA should have:

  • 5+ years of construction experience, with at least 2 years in healthcare projects
  • Proven ability to manage work in occupied hospital or clinical settings
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and infection-control procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents
  • OSHA certification preferred
