Job Description



Superintendent - Pump Stations - Richmond, VA will perform:

  • Lead on‑site construction activities for mechanical/civil scopes on pump stations and treatment facilities
  • Coordinate daily work with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams
  • Ensure all mechanical installation, piping, and civil components meet quality and safety standards
  • Maintain schedules, track progress, and proactively address field challenges
  • Oversee inspections, documentation, and compliance with project plans and specifications
  • Work closely with PMs and PXs to support planning, manpower needs, and cost control
  • Support start‑up, commissioning, and project close‑out processes
  • Champion site safety culture and enforce company policies

The Successful Applicant

  • Superintendent - Pump Stations - Richmond, VA should have:
  • 10+ years of experience in civil/mechanical construction
  • Strong background in pump stations, wastewater, treatment plants, or similar heavy civil projects
  • Experience with industrial piping, mechanical systems, and complex infrastructure work
  • Familiarity with Richmond/Southern VA markets is ideal
  • Will also consider candidates with relevant transportation or heavy civil experience (WMATA, VDOT, etc.)
  • Proven leadership managing field crews and subcontractors

  • Base salary: $120K-$170K depending on experience
  • Annual bonus: 6% of base salary

  • 401(k) with 50% match on first 6%, effective after 30 days
  • PTO: 2 weeks to start; increases at 2 years (96 hrs) and 11 years (144 hrs)
