They are known for executing high-volume "quick-hitter" projects (14-16 weeks) and maintaining strong relationships with repeat national brands across New England.

Job Description

Superintendent - Connecticut (Field-Based)This position will oversee multiple commercial projects ranging from $500K-$1M across Norwalk, Glastonbury, Hartford, West Hartford, and New Haven. The Superintendent will be responsible for full onsite execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all onsite construction activities from mobilization through closeout
  • Manage subcontractors, schedules, and daily site operations
  • Drive project timelines for 14-16 week fast-track builds
  • Enforce site safety standards and ensure compliance at all times
  • Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and site logistics
  • Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and progress updates
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and clients
  • Step in hands-on when needed to keep projects moving

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent - Retail Construction should have:

  • 4-5+ years of construction experience in a Superintendent role
  • Strong background in commercial interiors or retail projects (highly preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage fast-paced, short-duration builds
  • Hands-on leadership style with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors effectively
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable traveling between job sites in Connecticut
  • Tech-savvy with ability to learn construction software quickly
