Job Description

The Responsibilities of a Superintendent:

  • Lead all on-site construction activities from project start through completion
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project stakeholders
  • Maintain project schedules and drive progress to meet milestone requirements
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all project regulations
  • Oversee quality control and ensure work is completed to project specifications
  • Manage site logistics, workforce planning, and daily construction operations
  • Conduct site meetings and provide project status updates to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget
  • Coordinate inspections, punch list completion, and project closeout activities
  • Foster a positive jobsite culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and performance

The Successful Applicant

The Successful Superintendent should have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent overseeing commercial construction projects
  • Proven ability to run projects independently from groundbreaking through turnover
  • Experience managing large-scale renovations and/or ground-up construction projects valued at $30M+
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct field teams and subcontractors
  • Experience with educational, municipal, commercial, or institutional projects preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards
