Job Description

Key Responsibilities for Building and Construction Superintendent:

  • Manage all on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and quality control reviews.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve field issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients.
  • Lead site meetings and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, and site records.
  • Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or lead field supervisor in commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and project execution.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
