We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the successful field execution of healthcare construction projects throughout the Philadelphia region. This role will manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with stringent healthcare facility requirements.

Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day field operations for healthcare construction projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term project schedules.
  • Lead site logistics planning and construction sequencing activities.
  • Ensure all work complies with project specifications, healthcare regulations, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate work in occupied hospital and medical environments while minimizing disruptions to patient care.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and maintain quality control procedures.
  • Enforce OSHA requirements and company safety standards.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain budget and schedule objectives.
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project expectations.
  • Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and progress updates.
  • Manage commissioning activities, punch-list completion, and project closeout.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Building and Construction Superintendent should have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction.
  • Proven experience managing healthcare construction projects.
  • Experience working in occupied healthcare facilities, hospitals, medical offices, or laboratory environments.
  • Strong understanding of infection control risk assessments (ICRA), interim life safety measures (ILSM), and healthcare construction protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience coordinating MEP systems and specialized healthcare infrastructure.
  • Strong scheduling and subcontractor management skills.
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
