Job Description

  • Ensure supplier management activities align with established internal procedures and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate the review, tracking, and approval process for supplier production part submissions, ensuring compliance prior to release.
  • Conduct assessments of key prospective suppliers to support sourcing decisions, validate capabilities, and ensure readiness before product launch.
  • Perform targeted supplier audits to evaluate effectiveness of corrective measures and confirm sustainable resolution of recurring quality concerns.
  • Oversee nonconforming material returns by monitoring supplier response, material disposition, and closure activities following quality notifications.
  • Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives by prioritizing engagement with low-performing vendors and addressing quality and responsiveness gaps.
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality documentation, clearly communicating organizational standards, compliance expectations, and performance requirements across the supply base.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Approximately 5-7 years of experience supporting supplier quality, supplier development, or quality engineering functions within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working expertise in quality management systems, including application and interpretation of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Demonstrated understanding of production part approval methodologies and supplier qualification processes, including PPAP frameworks.
  • Formal training or certification in supplier auditing, with experience leading quality system or process-based supplier assessments.
  • Strong background in structured problem-solving and continuous improvement practices, including corrective action methodologies, statistical analysis, process optimization, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Knowledge of quality standards, root cause analysis tools, and supplier performance improvement techniques to support operational excellence.
