Job Description

The CAD Surveyor will be responsible for:

  • Producing and revising detailed engineering and utility drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Processing GPS and surveying field data to create accurate maps, plans, and project deliverables.
  • Preparing and maintaining as-built documentation to reflect completed field work.
  • Coordinating with survey crews, engineers, and project stakeholders to verify data accuracy.
  • Organizing survey records, mapping files, and technical project documentation.
  • Supporting utility, civil, and infrastructure projects through drafting and survey-related activities.
  • Ensuring drawings comply with company standards, project requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Assisting project teams in delivering accurate and timely design and construction documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful CAD Surveyor should have:

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Experience processing GPS points, survey datasets, and as-built information.
  • Background in surveying, utility mapping, civil engineering support, or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of coordinate systems, drafting standards, and field-to-finish survey workflows.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a commitment to producing accurate technical work.
