Job Description

In this role you will report directly to the Engineering Director and be responsible for:

  • Leading and mentoring a sustaining engineering team of 2-3, in supporting and improving existing products and systems.
  • Driving issue resolution efforts by guiding root cause analysis and implementing corrective and improvement actions.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, quality, and service teams to maintain product reliability and performance.
  • Overseeing engineering change activities and associated documentation to support ongoing product lifecycle needs.
  • Providing technical direction in troubleshooting and problem-solving across complex mechanical and thermal systems.
  • Supporting cost, supplier, and component lifecycle initiatives to ensure long-term product sustainability.
  • Ensuring ongoing alignment with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and internal policies.
  • Managing sustaining engineering activities while identifying and prioritizing continuous improvement opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical engineering role providing sustaining or product support
  • Proven track record leading teams of engineers to success
  • Complex mechanical systems experience preferred
  • Combustion or chiller system exposure a plus
  • High-speed manufacturing environment exposure
  • Electromechanical systems troubleshooting knowledge
  • CAD tools and engineering documentation proficiency
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
