Job Description

  • Manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax filings for partnerships, corporations, and related entities.
  • Manage 3 Tax Associates
  • Oversee tax compliance processes for a large real estate and affordable housing portfolio.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors.
  • Review tax provisions and support financial reporting requirements.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess business impacts.
  • Support tax planning strategies and identify opportunities to optimize tax positions.
  • Ensure compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and other affordable housing tax regulations where applicable.
  • Assist with tax audits, notices, and inquiries from taxing authorities.
  • Partner with accounting and finance teams on entity structuring, acquisitions, refinancings, and other strategic transactions.
  • Develop and improve tax processes, controls, and documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Tax Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive tax experience, preferably within real estate, affordable housing, public accounting, or a combination of both.
  • Strong knowledge of partnership taxation and real estate tax concepts.
  • Experience with multi-state tax compliance.
  • Familiarity with LIHTC structures and affordable housing programs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Excel.
