Our client is a well-established manufacturer specializing in precision metal stamping and is seeking a skilled Toolroom Manager to oversee tool and die operations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for managing tooling resources, supporting production needs, and ensuring all tooling is maintained to the highest standards for safety, quality, and performance.

Job Description

  • Manage daily toolroom operations, including maintenance and repair of tooling.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train a team of toolmakers, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize production downtime.
  • Oversee tooling inventory and manage procurement of new equipment, materials, and spare parts.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the toolroom operates in compliance with all safety protocols, including OSHA and company standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a toolroom, tool and die, or related manufacturing environment.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.
  • Expertise with manual and CNC machines, EDM as well as experience with CAD software.
  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
