We're seeking a Transmission EPC Project Engineering Lead to join a national Alternative Delivery leadership team within a growing Power Delivery practice. This role supports complex delivery models including EPC, Design-Build, CMAR/CMGC, and IPD, with a focus on leading technical pursuits and driving projects from early development through execution.

Job Description

This individual will partner closely with internal engineering teams and construction partners to lead technical strategy, risk evaluation, estimating, and front-end engineering efforts across transmission projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical pursuits for transmission EPC projects from early-stage strategy through handoff to execution teams
  • Drive scope, schedule, and budget development, including risk identification and mitigation
  • Collaborate with construction partners on constructability, routing, design approach, and value engineering solutions
  • Support Go/No-Go decisions, proposals, interviews, and negotiations
  • Oversee technical estimating and investment planning during pursuits
  • Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams (transmission, substation, civil, environmental, real estate, GIS, etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of FEED capabilities, standards, templates, and best practices
  • Serve in technical leadership roles (Engineering Manager, discipline lead, advisor) as needed
  • Mentor and support the growth of engineering and project delivery teams

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; PMP a plus
  • 10+ years of transmission design experience, including projects up to 500kV
  • 5+ years leading engineering teams on EPC or alternative delivery projects
  • Strong experience in scope development, estimating, and technical risk evaluation
  • Proficiency with tools such as PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, PLS-Tower, MFAD, and LPILE
  • Deep understanding of transmission line design, routing, structures, and foundations
  • Experience collaborating with environmental, permitting, and land teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage remote teams and support a collaborative project culture
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
