Job Description

  • Lead MEP preconstruction efforts including estimating, bid reviews, subcontractor qualifications, scheduling, and utility coordination.
  • Manage procurement, contract award, buyout, and ongoing performance of MEP trade partners.
  • Oversee MEP budgets, change management, forecasting, invoicing, progress payments, and overall project financial performance.
  • Coordinate Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3D trade coordination activities to ensure successful project execution.
  • Drive quality assurance, safety compliance, commissioning, testing, startup, and turnover activities.
  • Partner with field teams to develop schedules, mitigate risks, and maintain project delivery milestones.
  • Mentor project team members and provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Traveling MEP SPM/PM should have:

  • 5+ years of project management experience focused on MEP construction scopes.
  • Experience delivering data center, semiconductor, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, or other complex industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, change orders, procurement, commissioning, and project financials.
  • Ability to travel extensively and remain open to national project assignments following project completion.
  • Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools, and BIM coordination processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
