Job Description

Field Leadership & Project Execution

  • Serve as the primary field leader and point of coordination for subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personnel.
  • Direct and oversee all daily construction activities to ensure alignment with project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Lead field operations from project startup through closeout while maintaining productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, including short-term look-ahead plans and resource allocation strategies.
  • Coordinate field activities to ensure seamless collaboration among trades and project stakeholders.



Safety & Quality Management

  • Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and site-specific requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Identify potential issues early and implement corrective actions to minimize project disruptions.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract documents, project specifications, and industry standards.



Subcontractor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Manage subcontractor performance, productivity, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Assist with subcontractor procurement, bid evaluations, and scope reviews as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and field personnel to support successful project delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, trade partners, suppliers, and internal teams.



Schedule, Cost & Documentation Management

  • Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule impacts.
  • Support budget management efforts through accurate tracking of labor, productivity, and project costs.
  • Maintain accurate field reports, schedules, logs, and project documentation.
  • Ensure project records and required paperwork are completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Provide regular project updates and progress reporting to project leadership and stakeholders.



Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop field staff and emerging construction professionals.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the jobsite.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages professional growth and high performance.
  • Support workforce planning and resource management to meet project demands.

The Successful Applicant

Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience serving as a Project Superintendent or Senior Superintendent within commercial construction.
  • Experience working for a General Contractor managing large complex ground up builds in aviation, mission critical, etc
  • Demonstrated success leading field teams on complex construction projects.
  • Proven experience mentoring, coaching, and developing construction professionals.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, building systems, and sequencing.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with construction management and scheduling software - Procore, MS Project, etc.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize company-specific project management platforms and field technology tools.
