Job Description

As a Traveling Superintendent, you will be responsible for the full on site execution of assigned projects, including but not limited to:

  • Leading day‑to‑day field operations from mobilization through close‑out
  • Coordinating masonry, structural steel, and all supporting trades
  • Managing site safety, quality control, and schedule adherence
  • Interpreting construction documents and resolving field issues
  • Coordinating with project managers, inspectors, architects, and owners
  • Maintaining detailed daily reports, short interval schedules, and look ahead plans
  • Ensuring compliance with school district standards and public sector requirements
  • Mentoring field staff, foremen, and trade partners
  • Driving projects to successful, on time, and on budget completion

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be a proven field leader who combines technical knowledge with strong people and communication skills.

  • 8+ years of superintendent experience in commercial or institutional construction
  • Direct K‑12 school project experience (ground‑up or major renovations)
  • Strong hands‑on experience managing masonry and structural steel scopes
  • Experience working on active or occupied campuses
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively for project assignments
  • A leadership style that balances accountability, respect, and urgency
  • Ability to travel throughout the state of Georgia
