Our client is a highly respected water and wastewater infrastructure contractor with operations throughout the Southeast and Midwest. The firm specializes in the construction and rehabilitation of wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, water treatment facilities, force mains, gravity sewers, and related utility infrastructure, often involving complex phasing, tie‑ins, and regulatory oversight.

Job Description



Field & Project Leadership

  • Lead all onsite construction activities from mobilization through startup, commissioning support, and closeout.
  • Manage subcontractors, self‑perform crews, equipment, and daily field operations.
  • Plan and execute work related to process structures, concrete basins, piping systems, pump installations, and site civil work.
  • Coordinate sequencing for tie‑ins, shutdowns, and operational cutovers within active facilities.



Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Enforce company safety programs, job hazard analysis, and OSHA compliance at all times.
  • Maintain strict adherence to quality standards, specifications, and inspection requirements.
  • Coordinate with inspectors, engineers, owners, and regulatory agencies on site activities.



Planning & Documentation

  • Review and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and work plans.
  • Conduct daily huddles, weekly coordination meetings, and look‑ahead planning sessions.
  • Maintain daily reports, safety documentation, production tracking, and photo logs.
  • Partner closely with Project Managers to manage schedule impacts, risks, and constructability challenges.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7-15+ years of superintendent experience in wastewater, water treatment, or heavy civil construction.
  • Direct experience on wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, underground utilities, force mains, or water treatment facilities.
  • Strong understanding of concrete structures, process piping, mechanical equipment installation, and site civil work.
  • Experience working within active or operational facilities preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead multi‑trade crews and subcontractors in complex environments.
  • A safety‑first mindset with a strong record of compliant, well‑run jobsites.
  • Willingness to travel regionally throughout the Southeast for extended project assignments.



What's on Offer

  • Base Salary: $105,000 - $140,000
  • Total Compensation (with bonus): $125,000 - $165,000+
  • Annual Bonus: 10-20% (performance‑based)
  • Per‑Diem: $75 - $125 per day (location dependent)
  • Travel Coverage: Company‑paid lodging, vehicle, and job‑related travel expenses
