About Our Client

A well-established and highly respected California general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent with a strong background in retail and grocery construction to join its growing Southern California operations team.

Job Description

  • Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders
  • Maintain project schedules and drive milestone completion
  • Enforce site safety programs and company standards
  • Manage quality control and ensure work is completed to specification
  • Conduct subcontractor meetings and daily site coordination
  • Identify and proactively resolve field issues
  • Maintain strong communication with project management teams and clients

The Successful Applicant

A successful Traveling Superintendent should have:

  • Proven experience delivering retail, grocery, grocery remodel, tenant improvement, or occupied renovation projects
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and subcontractor management
  • Ability to manage projects in active operational environments
  • Knowledge of California building codes and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Stable work history with reputable contractors
