Leads the physical design of high-voltage substations up to 500 kV, including system modeling, specifications, calculations, and code compliance. Coordinates multidisciplinary teams, translates client requirements into engineering solutions, and manages project budgets, schedules, and multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
The firm is seeking a Mid‑Level Substation Physical Design Engineer with strong technical experience in high‑voltage substation design. Responsibilities include physical design up to 500 kV, electrical system modeling, preparation of specifications and reports, and applying all relevant codes and standards. This role will lead design efforts with minimal supervision and provide technical guidance across multiple concurrent projects.
The Substation Physical Project Designer supports high‑ and extra‑high‑voltage substation projects by leading physical design efforts, producing and reviewing detailed drawings, coordinating with engineers and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements from concept through construction.
This position will offer you the opportunity to manage the execution of multiple transmission, substation, and distribution projects - spanning both brownfield (existing site upgrades) and greenfield (new site development) environments across power levels ranging from 69 kV up to 500+ kV. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless life‑cycle management of capital project execution.
The Assistant Superintendent will support the successful execution of construction projects in the property industry, with a focus on life sciences, healthcare, public works, and education. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively coordinate on-site activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
You will support the Project Manager and Superintendent in coordinating all aspects of construction delivery, including RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and change management across complex healthcare, life science, and commercial projects.
