Job Description

  • Manage on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain project schedules.
  • Oversee daily site operations and address any issues or delays promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Monitor project progress and report updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure work aligns with project plans and specifications.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Manage project resources and budgets effectively to achieve project goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Traveling Superintendent should have:

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent overseeing commercial construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and scheduling.
  • Ability to travel extensively based on project requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades.\
  • Proficiency with construction management software and project documentation tools.
  • Stable work history with a demonstrated track record of delivering successful projects.
