Job Description

The Vendor Manager will report into the Vendor Management leadership team and play a critical role in developing a trusted network of subcontractors and service providers across multiple trades and geographic markets. This position is highly focused on vendor sourcing, relationship management, and network development rather than traditional purchasing or procurement.

  • Source, recruit, qualify, and onboard new vendors across multiple service categories throughout North America.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with subcontractors and service providers to strengthen network engagement and retention.
  • Identify and close vendor coverage gaps in key markets to support current and future client demands.
  • Negotiate vendor rates, capabilities, service offerings, and contractual terms.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, compliance documentation, certifications, and approval processes.
  • Partner closely with Operations teams to resolve performance issues, escalations, and service challenges.
  • Track vendor performance and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and network strength.

The Successful Applicant

For the Vendor Manager we are seeking:

  • 3+ years of experience in Vendor Management, Supplier Relations, Subcontractor Management, Strategic Sourcing, Facilities Management, Field Services, Construction Services, or related industries.
  • Experience building, recruiting, or managing vendor, contractor, subcontractor, or service provider networks.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to discuss pricing, service capabilities, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience working within fast-paced environments supporting large-scale projects, facilities maintenance programs, retail rollouts, or field service operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, vendor management, or contractor management platforms is preferred.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
