Job Description

The Industrial Development Manager will report into senior leadership within the development function and take ownership of delivering industrial projects from inception through completion.

  • Lead the full lifecycle of industrial developments, from site selection through to delivery
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
  • Oversee due diligence, entitlements, permitting, and design coordination
  • Partner with joint venture development partners, reviewing plans, budgets, and execution strategy
  • Negotiate consultant, contractor, and development agreements
  • Lead construction execution, including cost control, value engineering, and schedule management
  • Manage tenant improvement programmes, including build-to-suit and pre-leased developments

The Successful Applicant

For the Industrial Development Manager role, we are seeking:

  • 15+ years' experience in industrial real estate development or construction
  • Proven track record delivering light industrial or warehouse projects end-to-end
  • Background in development, general contracting, engineering, or architecture preferred
  • Strong experience managing joint ventures and external development partners
  • Deep understanding of construction processes, sitework, and development lifecycle
  • Experience with build-to-suit and speculative developments
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, procurement, and contract negotiation
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects across different markets
  • Advanced Excel and project scheduling tool proficiency
