The Vice President of Operations will oversee an international supply chain network. This is a leadership role that will oversee procurement, manufacturing plants (domestic & overseas), contract manufacturers & co-packers, logistics, transportation, customs & regulatory compliance, and own a rigorous demand plan/S&OP.
  • VP level role with clear path of growth to an SVP.
  • Open to Candidates based out of Dallas, TX or Boston, MA

Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement of raw materials to ensure quality standards and timely delivery to manufacturing sites/partners are met.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts and evaluating performance.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely stock replenishment.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Spearhead data transformation - a plus if you have overseen an ERP launch including Excel framework into an advanced system such as SAP or NetSuite.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
  • Lead international freight logistics and domestic warehouse and trucking
  • Manage all import and customs activities.
  • Oversee tariff and cost strategy.
  • Develop and manage sales-centric demand plan across major retailers such as Walmart, Target, Costco, Whole Foods, Harris Teeter, Albertsons, and more.
  • Partner with C-Suite to lead supply chain efforts around M&A activities

The Successful Applicant

* 10+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, and international trade.

* Leadership experience and employee development.

* Experience in the food/CPG industry preferred.

* Experience with FDA/FSMA import compliance and foreign supplier verification (FSVP).

* Experience managing international supply chains, tariffs, and imports into the U.S.

* Ability to move quickly, lead and manage a team, and find efficiencies in the business.

* Entrepreneurial and get-it-done mindset.
