Job Description

This VP of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the company's commercial strategy while leading and mentoring a sales organization focused on the protein processing industry. The role will drive revenue growth, strengthen key customer relationships, and identify new opportunities to expand the business's market presence.

  • Lead the overall sales strategy to drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and long-term business objectives.
  • Manage, develop, and coach a team of sales professionals and technical resources, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers across the meat, poultry, and protein processing industries.
  • Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market segments to support continued growth.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and product development teams to align customer needs with innovative solutions and new product initiatives.
  • Forecast sales performance, manage key accounts, and provide strategic insights to executive leadership regarding market trends and competitive activity.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal VP of Sales is a proven sales leader with deep experience in the protein processing industry and an established network within major meat and poultry processors. They will bring a combination of strategic leadership, commercial acumen, and technical credibility, with the ability to drive growth while leading high-performing teams.

  • 10+ years of sales, business development, or commercial leadership experience within the protein processing industry.
  • Demonstrated experience selling ingredients, equipment, processing solutions, or related products directly into meat, poultry, or protein processing customers.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Prior leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing sales teams; experience leading both commercial and technical resources is highly preferred.
  • Strong relationships and credibility with key decision-makers across protein processors, further processors, and food manufacturing organizations.
  • Ability to operate effectively in both executive-level strategic discussions and highly technical customer environments.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Business, Engineering, Food Science, Animal Science, or a related field preferred.
